The night before comps, Leah made us a test cake for the wedding! This is what the top layer will (basically) look like. She is an amazing, super-talented chica. The snowflakes are beautiful... and, may I add (I know this is going to be SHOCKING to you), it tastes absolutely delish. Mmmmmm... just thinking about it makes my tummy growl a bit. It's going to be so tasty. It's Irish cream flavored..... mmmm! We're also thinking we're going to do a peppermint layer. Very wintry!Thanks, Leah. We're so excited.
Yesterday we had the Spann family shower at Jeremy's great aunt's house. It was really nice to meet some of the extended fam, and we had a really good time.My work is throwing me and another girl that is getting married the weekend after us a shower-type thing (aka, an excuse to eat cheese dip), and last week, the ladies from my program surprised me with a shower!That must mean that we're getting reallllllllly close. It's almost time! Can you believe it?My mama embroidered some pillowcases with an "S" on it. For my new name. ;) It was so very sweet. I absolutely love them. Love you, mama, and thank you!!
